Christmas Dinner for the Parents

Not that I'm complaining because I love my little cottage house, but it is a little too small to host the large family dinners, so instead I like to invite my parents and my husband's parents for a special Christmas meal.

I forgot to take pictures of the food and the guests! Luckily I did manage to take a few quick shots of the table before everybody got here! I used my Winter Greetings Plates, and my red stemware for water and my gold etched stemware for Sparkling Cider.

My silverware, Floral Queen, was a gift from my parents the first Christmas we were married. For dinner we had turkey and dressing, green bean casserole, Italian strata, carrot salad and bread and butter pickles (thanks to my mother-in-law), oriental salad and cranberry chutney (thanks to my Mom), seafood salad, pickles and fancy pulled pork sandwiches. For desert we had cheesecake with cherries and whipped cream. Yummy!

Salt and Pepper shakers add that final whimsical Christmas touch!

It was every bit as yummy and beautiful as one can imagine. The evening was such a delight- to taste the lovingly prepared, and delicious food -and- to appreciate Bella's natural decorative talents surrounding her being. A feast for the eyes as well as the palate! Thanks Bella!
