A Day of Crochet, Knitting and Chatting

This morning I'm off for a day of crochet, knitting, chatting and just plain fun with mom and my aunt!  Mom and my auntie are starting a pair of fair isle gloves together (I'm not a knitter!) and I'm working on a new pair of cabled wristwarmers (yes, cables in crochet!) that I'm really excited about.  I'm also working on the above project for my Mom.  It's a shawl/capelet/neckwarmer that she has knitted and I'm adding a crocheted trim to it.  I just finished the edging on another shawl for her and I'll try to get some pictures of it to show you today, along with some of her gorgeous decorating... I'm talking magazine worthy decorating!   Have a great day everyone!

Dissolving Resolution

I made a New Year's Resolution that I would not buy any more yarn until I used up some of my already existing stash... well, sadly, in a moment of weakness, I broke down and ordered some new yarn!


Oh Happy Day! Just look at the bag of goodness that arrived right on my doorstep!


Soft pinks, blues, yellow, mauve, green, ahhh, a crocheter's heaven!

Don't worry though, it was all for a good cause... I bought it 'cause I wanted to!

My lucky day indeed!!!

Neck Warmer

I'm in the middle of writing a new pattern for a neck warmer. I think it has a real Victorian feel, but in this colour you could wear it dressed up, or down. The pattern should be available later this week in my Etsy shop. I may even sell some of my prototypes!

I Made It!!!!!

I made my second treasury! Unfortunally I couldn't figure out how to feature the first one on my Blog, but I did manage to get this one on! Aren't the people at EtsyFAST talented? I'm already working on the May Challenge: Flowers. I'll give you a hint....look at the previous entry!
