For the Love of Daylilies

I love this time of year when the Daylilies start to really bloom. The above are some of my own that are open right now, but don't ask me which one is my favorite, it would be too hard to choose. On another note, I have three new Wristwarmers/cuffs patterns ready and a fourth on it's way. I still have to think up some creative ways to take some nice pictures, but they should be available soon.

New Business Cards

Now I'm beginning to feel more professional with my own business cards! I have another one with my little chickadee too. I just did them myself and will probably want new ones in a month or two, but they will do the trick for now.

Does Pink Help?

I'm not having a very good day today. What do I do on these days? I wear pink..... I have a lot of pink! Anybody else do this? On the same note, here's a sneak peak of my latest project, and guess what? It's pink! I'm working on a series of wrist warmers and driving gloves for my Etsy site. So far I've come up with 5 different patterns. It's been a lot of fun to use all those ideas floating around in my head, and not having to stick with one!

New Kittens

I just couldn't resist sharing these pictures of our new kittens. This little dirty face boy is Frosty. He just finished a big meal of soft cat food and insisted on crawling between my legs and up onto my lap. He is sooo proud of himself! He was purring the whole time!


Below is Loki, named after the Norse God of Mischief. As you can tell, he lives up to his name! Always out exploring. He's definitely going to be a good mouser!

The Shiitake Mushrooms Are Growing!!

We fried some of our homegrown Shiitake Mushrooms last night with a little butter, salt and pepper and YUMMY! This is our first year growing these healthy little guys, so we are just learning the ropes, but next year we hope to sell them in the Farmer's Market.

My Newest Purse Pattern

Not my usual colour choice, but I love this red. It's almost a heather red. Just a few more tests needed and a knock-out picture taken, oh, and a name, and I'll have the pattern up on Etsy!

Pincushions

These are some of my new pincushions that I'm selling on Etsy (http://www.bellamcbride.etsy.com/). They are made of recycled plastic tops from various aerosol cans, tuna tins, cat food cans and anything else I think would do. They are all hand sewn and I am using all my old fabric scraps, vintage button, and

vintage lace. This makes quite a few of them one-of-a-kind items! This brown plaid one is made from a dress from a thrift store and topped with a vintage brown leather button. I must have saved them from some jacket since I have 5 of them! I don't remember now, but they match the plaid perfectly.

Shiitake Mushrooms

Another adventure my husband and I are embarking on....growing Shiitake Mushrooms. This one obviously got ahead of us, but it is one of the first ones we grew! Proud parents are we!
